Get to know Ms. Concepcion
I was born and raised in San Jose, California where I attended local public schools. Growing up, I never thought I would become a teacher. I was determined to be a doctor and took high school and college courses to reach that goal. It was during my college years that I discovered that my true passion was teaching, and I made a life changing decision to pursue a career in education.
This is my sixth year teaching at Lakewood Elementary, and I am delighted to be working with Kindergarten students for the first time. I received my Bachelors of Arts in Integrative Biology from UC Berkeley, and graduated from San Jose State University with a Multiple Subject credential and a Masters in Education. I have taught preschool for seven years and was a long-term substitute teacher in the Alum Rock School District. I also taught 5th grade for five years. Teaching is my passion, and I work hard to motivate my students to be successful in school and beyond.
